Kenyatta Oryx basketball team fell short of their opponents Kisumu Lakeside in an enthralling game that ended 55-43 in favour of Lakeside in the league game. Lakeside ended the first quarter in front by a small margin of 8-10. The second quarter showed more determination from Lakeside to win as it ended 15-20. The third quarter also proved to be a tough one as Kenyatta was determined to find their way back into the game with it ending 11-12. The fourth and final quarter showed slight signs of despair from the losing side and were eventually edged out 9-13. “The game was okay and I’m proud of my team. We closed three months ago and the most of the team has just been doing individual training. They are just coming from holiday and I don’t have most of my players otherwise I feel we would have won the game,” stated the Oryx coach. “We recovered by playing a lot of press and we did a lot of shooting in the second half which really helped us win the game,” stated the winning coach.
