Thunder sign Michel Diouf

Defending champion Thunder (Premier League) landed experienced 35-year old Senegalese 207cm center Michel Diouf, agency: BIG. He is the second import player in the roster as Nigerian Uchenna Iroegbu signed here earlier.
He has played for the last nine years at Bakken in Danish BasketLigaen. He managed to play in four leagues last year (!!!). The team played in four different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 31 BasketLigaen games he averaged 9.5ppg, 4.5rpg and 1.4apg. He helped them to win the league title (six times). Diouf also played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he had 10.7ppg and 4.2rpg. He also played 2 games in Basketball Champions League where he recorded 6.5ppg, 5.5rpg, 3.0apg and 1.0spg. And finally he contributed to 11 games in European North Basketball League where he got 8.3ppg, 3.9rpg and 1.0apg. Diouf contributed to his team winning the European North Basketball League championship.
He has played also in Spain (Breogan Lugo, Longevida San Pablo Burgos, Tarragona, Fuenlabrada and Zunder Palencia) and Turkey.
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-FIBA Europe Cup Honorable Mention back in 2016.
