Sabis Sporting Club (1 League) added 30-year old Jamaican ex-international swingman Antoinette Bannister (178cm-1993, college: ECU) to their roster for the new 2024-25 season. She was the top scorer at Partizani in Albania Superliga last season, averaging 16.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 4.7apg, and 1.3spg in 6 games, helping them reach the semifinals. Bannister also played 3 games in Liga Unike, averaging 14.0ppg, 4.7rpg, 6.3apg, and 1.7spg during the previous (2023) season at Kenya Ports Authority in the Kenyan league. She also played for Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria in the Nicaraguan league, where she was the best scorer with 20.9ppg and 4.0rpg in 15 games in 2023. She was named League Player of the Week 3 times and voted to Latinbasket.com All-Nicaraguan LSBF First Team. Bannister was a member of the Jamaican Senior National Team in 201
Her career allowed her to visit four different continents. Bannister tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and of course North America. She has played previously professionally in Mexico (Phoenix), Portugal (Carnide and Clube Desportivo Escola Francisco Franco), and WABA (Force).
Bannister won the Liga Unike championship title in 2023.
She graduated from East Carolina University in 2017 and it will be her eighth season as a professional player. Bannister played for other colleges like the University of Florida and the University of North Carolina.
