KPA teams rip apart visiting Kenyatta University sides

Champions Kenya Ports Authority blanked the visiting Kenyatta University sides at Makande Welfare Hall in Mombasa on Saturday. The portsmen crushed KU Pirates 68-38. They were ahead 49-27 at the breather. Martin Kitongo bagged 14 points, Job Byron 12, and Eugene Adera (203-SG-1997) 11. Jira John provides KU's l4. "The men played well and I am optimistic that sooner or later the team will be good because they have shown signs of improvement," offered KU coach Caleb Osewe. "Their work rate has tremendously gone up compared to the first game against Strathmore University Blades." At the Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium in Nairobi, Platinum Eldonets dimmed United States International University (USIU) Tigers 58-48.
Tyson Ongwae sunk 26 points that included seven three-pointers and Renny Moibi added 14. USIU, down 36-22 at halftime, had 14 from Vitumbiko Mponela.
