Egypt advanced to the Final with the win over Kenya at the 2023 AfroBasket Qualifiers. They needed an 82-57 win to finish on top with a 3-1 record. Kenya meanwhile finished with the same record on the 3rd place and will play against South Sudan for the 3rd place. Egypt grabbed a 21-16 lad at the start and dominated the whole game.
Raneem Elgedawy (193-F-1997, college: WKU) stepped up with 23 points and Nadine Soliman (178-G-1998, college: UNCG) netted 13. Mercy Wanyama (185-C-1992) replied with 13 points in a loss and Rose Ouma (178-G/F-1984, college: WBU) had 11.
