Sporting advanced to Champions Cup semifinals as they edged Kenya Ports Authority 76-70. Trailing 1 point at the end of the first period, the team from Egypt posted a 22-18 rally to take a 3-point halftime advantage. Moreover, they added a 21-16 run in the third quarter to secure a win.
Cierra Dillard (176-G-1996, college: Buffalo) top-scored for the winners with 22 points and Shayla Cooper (188-F-1995, college: Ohio St.) nailed 20. Ifunaya Okoro (180-F-1999) replied with 31 points in a loss, whilst Madina Okot (196-F) collected 10 points and 16 rebounds.
