TYLOR ONGWAE

Bakken Bears (BasketLigaen) agreed terms with 27-year old Kenyan forward Tylor Ongwae (199-93kg-91, college: La-Monroe). He played last season at SAM Basket Massagno in Swiss SBL league. In 26 games he had very impressive stats: 15.3ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.5apg and 1.2spg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Swiss SBL Honorable Mention.
The previous (2017) summer Ongwae played at Mountain Airs in New Zealand NBL where in 18 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 18.0ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.4apg and 1.8spg (in top 3) in 2017 season. Quite impressive year as he was named to Australiabasket.com All-New Zealand NBL 2nd Team and All-Imports Team.
Ongwae represented Kenya at the CBI Championship Finalist three years ago.
He has played previously professionally in Italy (Scandone Avellino) and Sweden (Sodertalje Kings and Solna Vikings).
Ongwae attended University of Louisiana at Monroe until 2015 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.
