Sprite Storms (Premier League) landed 26-year old international center Mercy Wanyama (185-92) from She played in the summer at played at Equity Bank. In 7 African Champions Cup games she averaged 7.9ppg, 6.7rpg and 1.4spg.
Among other achievements Wanyama won Kenyan Premier League championship title in 2016. She received also Afrobasket.com All-African Champions Cup Honorable Mention award in 2016. Wanyama has been regularly called to Kenyan Senior National Team since 2017.
She has played also professionally in Kenya (Kenya Ports Authority).
