Blades tied their best of five Kenya Basketball Federation Premier League Semi Final series against the Ulinzi Warriors at one game each on Sunday evening at the Strathmore University Grounds with a thrilling 60-56 victory. After a tough loss to the Warriors the previous day, the Blades wasn't about to let it happen again. In Game 2 Blades overcame a poor first quarter as they fell behind by 5 points and appeared headed to another deflating defeat. Blades came alive on the offensive end in the next three quarters led by Joseph Ongoro, Shilton Ochieng and Rueben Muraya. Ulinzi went cold and were unable to win any quarter. Caroline Ouma scored 16 points and Neema Achieng added 12 points as Strathmore rallied to beat Masaku Sparks 48-42 in Game 2 of the Kenya Basketball Federation Division 1 Semi- Finals to level the series 1-1. This season has come with many early highs and lows for the USIU Flames, and another one of those low moments came on Sunday afternoon. KPA once again dominated the students with a 60-29 rout and take control of the semi-finals series.
In the National Provincial Finals Baobab Blazers overcame Coastal Kings 46-33 to book a slot in the Division 2 league this season.
