Mohamed Bamba is a newcomer at the Pelicans

Mohamed Bamba

New Orleans Pelicans (NBA) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old double-passport holder Ivorian 7-0 center Mohamed Bamba (college: Texas). He played recently at Birmingham Squadron. In four NBA G League games he recorded very impressive stats: 21.0ppg, 14.5rpg, 1.3apg and 1.8bpg this season. He also played for the Clippers earlier that season. The other team he played shortly was Clippers.
In 2018 he was drafted by Orlando Magic in first round (6th overall). Bamba attended University of Texas and it is his seventh season in pro basketball.
He represented USA at the FIBA Americas Championship U18 in Valdivia (Chile) nine years ago. Bamba's team won Gold and he had 7 points per game.
Bamba has played previously for Philadelphia 76ers.
Among many awards his team made it to the NBA G League Semifinals in 2019. He was voted to Big 12 All-Defensive Team back in 2018 at his college time.
