Amadou Sidibe (ex Sopron KC) agreed terms with EB Orthez

Amadou Sidibe

Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez (ProB) strengthened their roster with the addition of 30-year-old American (who also has an Ivorian passport) 203cm power forward Amadou Sidibe (college: Fairfield, agency: Players Group) for the 2024-25 season. He most recently played at Sopron KC in the Hungarian A Division, where he averaged 9.9ppg, 5.9rpg, and 1.0apg in 21 games last season. Sidibe also played for s Oliver Baskets (BBL) in the German league, averaging just 2.5ppg and 2.8rpg in 4 games in the German BBL.
He represented Ivory Coast at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in San Juan (Puerto Rico) this year. During this event, he scored an average of 3 ppg and had 1 rpg.
Sidibe is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in six different countries. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Penarol), Germany, Hungary, Portugal (Lusitania), Spain (Melilla, Alicante and Lleida) and France (Tours and ALM Evreux).
Sidibe has won many awards during his career, including playing in the final of the Spanish LEB Silver Play-Off in 2018. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Honorable Mention in 2021.
He graduated from Fairfield University in 2017 and it'll be his 8th season in pro basketball.
