Ivory Coast - Madagascar 77:69

Ivory Coast overcame Madagascar 77-69 in the opener of the 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers. They opened the game with a 14-11 run and added a 26-19 rally in the second frame. Madagascar managed to reply with two narrow wins in the second half to reduce the gap to the final.
Alexander Poythress (203-C/F-1993, college: Kentucky) led the way with 26 points and Jean-Philippe Dally (200-F/G-1996) had 10. Maxence Dadiet (192-PG-1999) notched 9, whilst Nisre Zouzoua (188-G-1996, college: Nevada, agency: Players Group) delivered 8 points. Sitraka Raharimanantoanina (207-PF-2001) answered with 12 points in the losing effort and Anthony Nelson as well as Monja Faralahy (1998) had 11 apiece.
