Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano adds Thompson to their roster

Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano (B1 League) added to their roster experienced 34-year old American (has also Ivorian passport) power forward Deon Thompson (204cm-111kg-1988, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) for season 2023-24. Thompson played last season at KCC Egis in South Korean KBL league. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 16 KBL games he recorded 7.8ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.1apg. Thompson also played for Tofas in Turkish BSL where in 11 games he averaged 7.9ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.7apg. He also played 6 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 8.5ppg and 4.0rpg.
Thompson has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Thompson's pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in eleven different countries. Thompson has played previously professionally in China (Flying Leopards), Germany (Bayern Muenchen), Greece (AE Kallitheas), Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem), Lithuania (Zalgiris), Mexico (Libertadores), Puerto Rico (Leones), Serbia (Crvena Zvezda), Slovenia (Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana), Spain (Unicaja, Hereda San Pablo Burgos and Zaragoza) and Turkey (Galatasaray). His team won ACC Tournament in 2007 and 2008. He was voted to Eurobasket.com German Bundesliga All-Imports Team back in 2013 and 2014.
He graduated from University of North Carolina in 2010 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player.
