Alexander Poythress (ex M.Tel-Aviv) signs at Milano

Defending champion AX Armani Exchange Milano (Serie A) landed 29-year old American (has also Ivorian passport) 203cm power forward Alexander Poythress (college: Kentucky) for upcoming season. Poythress played most recently at M.Tel-Aviv in Israeli Winner League. In 14 games he averaged 10.6ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.4apg last season. He helped them to win the league title and the cup. Poythress also played 16 games in Euroleague where he had 7.8ppg and 3.6rpg. He contributed to his team making it to the quarterfinals.
Poythress has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He is a very experienced player. Poythress has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in China (Jilin Tigers), Russia (Zenit), Turkey (Galatasaray), NBA (Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers and Indiana Pacers) and NBA G League (Fort Wayne Mad Ants and College Park SkyHawks).
Poythress was voted to VTB United League All-Star Game in 2022.
He graduated from University of Kentucky in 2016 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
