Mali have won Group D at the AfroBasket 2021. They edged Cote d'Ivoire 76-63 for a 2-0 record, while Cote d'Ivoire finished with 1-1 record.
Mali grabbed a 24-20 lead at the start, while the opponents replied with a 17-12 rally to take a 37-36 halftime advantage. Moreover, Cote d'Ivoire added a 17-15 rally in the third period to enter the last stanza with a 3-point advantage. Mali meanwhile exploded with a massive 25-9 surge to seal the win.
Djeneba N'Diaye (165-PG-97) top-scored for the winners with 23 points and Mariam Coulibaly (192-C-97) poured in 14. Laetitia Sahie (188-SF-00) replied with 24 in a loss and Djefarima Diawara (180-F-94) scored 15.
