Mystics keep Akra for another season

Vanessa Akra

Manchester Mystics (WBBL) re-signed 27-year old naturalized Ivorian forward Vanessa Akra (183-92, college: Darton State JC). She played there last season. In 13 WBBL games she averaged just 2.1ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.5apg.
Akra represented United Kingdom at the European Championships U20 in Debrecen (Hungary) eight years ago. Her stats at that event were 5 games: 1.8ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.2spg.
Akra is a very experienced player.
She graduated from Darton State College in 2013 and it will be her eighth season in pro basketball.
