Here is the weekly review of the top performing Ivorian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international center Cedric Bah (198-94, currently plays in France). He contributed to an easy victory against the second-ranked Saint-Quentin (8-1) 65-49 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night. Bah scored 7 points, had 5 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 20 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in Group A. BC Souffelweyersheim (9-0) is placed first. So far his team won all nine games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Bah has relatively good stats this year: 11.6ppg, 6.2rpg, 1.6apg, 1.8bpg, 2FGP: 54.7% and FT: 72.7% in nine games he played so far. He played for the Ivorian senior national team one years ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an international swingman Charles Abouo (196-89, college: BYU, currently plays in France). Abouo could not help ADA Blois (2-2) to beat SPO Rouen (2-2). He recorded 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. But ADA Blois was defeated 86-78 on the road by the lower-ranked SPO Rouen (#8). But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. It's Abouo's first season with the team. This year Abouo has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 55.0%, 3FGP: 36.4% and FT: 63.6%. He has a dual citizenship: Ivorian and American. Abouo is in the roster of the Ivorian senior national team.

   #3. The Ivorian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international swingman Vafessa Fofana (198-92, currently plays in France). He led Nantes to an easy victory against the 16th-ranked Lille Metropole (1-3) 77-60 in the French ProB (second division) on Friday night. Fofana recorded 13 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. Hermine Nantes Atlantique (1-3) is placed tenth in the ProB. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. This season Fofana averages: 7.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.5apg, 2.3spg and FT: 77.8%. He is also a member of the Ivorian senior national team.

An experienced center Mohamed Kone (211-81, college: Valparaiso, currently plays in France) contributed to a 3-point JA Vichy's victory against the 15th-ranked Poitiers (1-3) 76-73 in the French ProB (second division) in Friday night's game. Kone recorded 9 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 31 minutes. Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropole (4-0) is placed third in the ProB. So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season. This year Kone's overall stats are: 6.3ppg and 8.3rpg in four games. He is another player who holds two passports: Ivorian and French. Kone is also Ivorian national team player.

International forward Tiegbe Bamba (204-91, college: Portland St., currently plays in Iceland) contributed to a 2-point Grindavik's victory against the seventh-ranked Valur (2-5) 90-88 in the Icelandic Dominos League last Thursday. He scored 9 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. It was his first game for Grindavik this season. His team is placed second in the Dominos League. Bamba has both Ivorian and French nationalities. He plays currently for the Ivorian national team.

Center Bali Coulibaly (199-95, currently plays in France) was the major contributor in a La Rochelle's victory against the 13th-ranked Brissac Anjou (2-7) crushing them 74-53 in the French NM1 (third division) on Saturday night. Coulibaly scored 13 points in a mere 17 minutes. Stade Rochelais Basket (4-5) is placed tenth in Group B. This year Coulibaly's total stats are: 9.4ppg and 3.9rpg in eight games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Ivorian National Team roster.

   #7. International center Aboubacar Aboubacar Hima (207-94, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Carramimbre in their game against RETAbet BB (5-1) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Aboubacar Hima scored only 2 points in 10 minutes. Carramimbre lost 77-84 in Bilbao to the second-ranked RETAbet BB. It was Carramimbre's first loss after four consecutive victories. Aboubacar Hima has averaged so far 3.5ppg and 3.5rpg in six games. He used to play for the Ivorian national team last year.

Forward Moussa Kone (203-93, college: Hofstra, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Chocalates Trapa Palencia to win against the closely-ranked Magia Huesca (4-2) 77-76 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Friday night. Kone scored only 3 points. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Chocalates Trapa Palencia (5-1) is placed third in the LEB Gold. Kone has averaged so far 6.3ppg and 4.0rpg. He also holds two passports: Ivorian and American. Kone used to play for the Ivorian national team back in 2015.


The list of other players, who all have Ivorian passport but never been selected to any of Ivorian national teams:

   #1. Mohamed Bamba (211-F-98, college: Texas, currently plays in NBA) led Orlando Magic to a victory against the San Antonio Spurs (6-4) 117-110 in the NBA in Sunday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 11 rebounds in a mere 16 minutes. The Orlando Magic has 4-7 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Bamba's first year with the team. This season Bamba averages: 6.1ppg, 5.6rpg, 1.2apg and 1.6bpg in 11 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Ivorian and American. Despite Bamba's Ivorian passport, he previously played for the USA U18 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Ivorian team.

   #2. Experienced Alain Koffi (207-C-83, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in France) contributed to Gravelines-Dunkerque's victory against the league leader Cholet Basket (9-0) 87-83 in the French ProA last Friday. Koffi scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BCM Gravelines Dunkerque Grand Littoral (6-2) is placed fourth in the ProA. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Koffi's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season: 10.6ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.1apg. Koffi is another player who holds two passports: Ivorian and French.

   #3. Jonas Bergstedt (210-C-91, currently plays in Hungary) could not help the league outsider TF Budapest (0-6) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the bottom-ranked TF Budapest was crushed 85-53 at home by the leading PVSK-Veolia. Bergstedt was the top scorer with 15 points. He also added 6 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 30 minutes. It was his first game for TF Budapest this season. So far TF Budapest lost all six games in the Regular Season. Bergstedt has both Danish and Ivorian nationalities.

   #4. Samuel Amed Diomande (193-G-88, currently plays in Norway) was not able to help Ammerud Bskt (1-8) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Diomande's very good performance Ammerud Bskt was crushed 105-70 on their home court in Oslo by the higher-ranked Kongsberg (#3). He was the top scorer with 23 points. Diomande is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in Ammerud Bskt's roster. Diomande has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 16.7ppg, 3.3rpg, 3.0apg and 1.5spg. Diomande also holds two passports: Norwegian and Ivorian.

   #5. Aboubacar Diallo (206-C, currently plays college basketball in the States) was not able to secure a victory for the E.Illinois in their game against the The University of Texas in the NCAA. He cannot count Tuesday's game as one of the best ones. Diallo recorded only 2 points. It was his first game for E.Illinois this season. his team lost 59-71 on their home court in Charleston to the The University of Texas. Diallo has been at the team for four years.

   #6. Ange-Michel Kuo (203-F, currently plays in NAIA) couldn't help the Presentation College in their game against the Mount Marty College in the NStar. He scored 8 points. It was his first game for Presentation College this season. His team was defeated 69-64 in the NStar.
