We bring you last week's top performances from Ivorians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.


Remi Dibo

   #1. This week's number one is former international forward Remi Dibo (201-91, agency: Octagon Europe, college: W.Virginia, currently plays in France). He could not help SPO Rouen (16-16) in their last game. Despite Dibo's very good performance SPO Rouen lost 93-99 on the road to the lower-ranked (#13) Caen. He was the second best scorer with 19 points in 26 minutes on the court. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Dibo's first season with the team. Dibo has relatively good stats this year: 10.4ppg, 4.1rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 52.2%, 3FGP: 38.8% and FT: 80.6% in 27 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Ivorian and French. Despite Dibo played previously for the French U16 national team, he played also for the Ivorian national team in 2016.

Moussa Kone

   #2. Second place goes to former international forward Moussa Kone (203-93, college: Hofstra, currently plays in Spain). Kone led Navarra to a victory over the third-ranked HLA Alicante (21-9) 90-85 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) last Friday. He was MVP of the game. Kone scored 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. KIA Sakimovil Navarra de Pamplona (15-15) is placed eighth in the LEB Silver. This season Kone has relatively solid stats: 13.6ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 60.2%(197-327), 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 62.5%. He is another player who holds two passports: Ivorian and American. Kone played for the Ivorian national team in 2015.

   #3. The Ivorian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international swingman Charles Abouo (196-89, college: BYU, currently plays in France). He was the major contributor in a Provence Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Entente Orleans 45 (24-8) 78-68 in the French ProB (second division) on Tuesday night. Abouo scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 29 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. FOS Provence Basket (22-10) is placed fourth in the ProB. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Abouo has reliable stats this year: 13.2ppg, 4.4rpg, 2.6apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 51.3%, 3FGP: 37.2% and FT: 78.2% in 32 games. He has both American and Ivorian nationalities. Abouo is also a member of the Ivorian senior national team.

Mouloukou Souleyman Diabate

   #4. Point guard Mouloukou Souleyman Diabate (181-87, currently plays in Slovakia) was the main contributor in Levice's victory against the closely-ranked Kosice (25-11) 72-66 in the Slovakian SBL in Saturday night's game. He was the best player in that game. Diabate scored 15 points and added 5 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Levicki Patrioti (26-10) is placed second in the SBL. Diabate's stats this season are: 10.6ppg, 3.3rpg, 6.4apg and 2.0spg. He is also Ivorian national team player.

Former international swingman Guy Landry Edi (202-88, agency: Promotex, college: Gonzaga, currently plays in France) contributed to a 1-point Nantes' victory against the closely-ranked ALM Evreux (15-17) 87-86 in the French ProB (second division) last Friday. Edi recorded 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 32 minutes. Hermine Nantes Atlantique (11-11) is placed eighth in the ProB. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Edi's stats this year are: 10.6ppg, 4.4rpg and 2.0apg in 32 games. He also holds two passports: Ivorian and French. Edi used to play for the Ivorian national team two years ago.

   #6. Center Louri Frejus Zerbo (208-89, currently plays in France) was not able to help Olympique Antibes in their game against SIG Strasbourg (22-10) in the French ProA. He did not beat the league record on Saturday evening. Zerbo scored only 3 points. Olympique Antibes was badly defeated 93-77 in Strasbourg by the second-ranked SIG Strasbourg. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be extremely important. Zerbo's overall stats this season are: 2.4ppg and 2.6rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Ivorian National Team roster.

   #7. Former international point guard Bryan Pamba-Juille (184-92, currently plays in France) is a teammate of previously mentioned Guy Landry Edi. But that was another game of his team in French ProB which we would like to mention. Pamba-Juille managed to help Hermine Nantes Atlantique in a victory against the 15th-ranked Poitiers (10-22) crushing them 106-85. He scored only 4 points and added 6 passes in 21 minutes. Hermine Nantes Atlantique (11-11) is placed eighth in the ProB. This year Pamba-Juille averages: 4.5ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.3apg in 32 games. He used to play for the Ivorian national team two years ago.

   #8. An experienced center Mohamed Kone (211-81, college: Valparaiso, currently plays in France) contributed to a JA Vichy's surprising victory against the second-ranked Chorale de Roanne (24-8) 75-68 in the French ProB (second division) last Tuesday. Kone scored 7 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropole (14-18) is placed 12th in the ProB. They ended the series of five consecutive loses. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Kone averaged so far 11.2ppg, 7.5rpg and 1.3spg. He used to play for the Ivorian national team back in 2016.

Former international swingman Issife Soumahoro (197-88, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Brissac Anjou (18-16) in their game against Orchesien BC (14-20) in the French NM1 (third division). Soumahoro recorded 7 points in 23 minutes. Brissac Anjou lost 81-87 in Orchies to the much lower-ranked (#13) Orchesien BC. It was Brissac Anjou's first loss after six consecutive victories. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. This year Soumahoro's overall stats are: 6.7ppg, 1.3rpg and 1.3apg in 29 games.
