Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Ivorians who are currently playing abroad.
#1. This week's number one is an international swingman
Vafessa Fofana (198-92, currently plays in France). He led
Cholet Basket to a victory against the 13th-ranked Le Portel (12-20)
86-78 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA in Wednesday night's game.
Fofana recorded 12 points and added 3 assists in 25 minutes on the court.
Cholet Basket (15-1) is placed first in the Jeep ELITE ProA.
It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This year Fofana averages: 4.1ppg, 2.1rpg, 2FGP: 61.2%(30-49), 3FGP: 35.0% and FT: 72.0% in 29 games he played so far.
He is currently a member of the Ivorian senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international swingman
Charles Abouo (196-89, college:
BYU, currently plays in France). Abouo could not help
Le Portel (6-10) to beat Entente Orleans 45 (18-15).
He scored 7 points and added 3 assists.
Le Portel was defeated
79-67 on the road by the higher-ranked Entente Orleans 45 (#7).
It was Le Portel's third consecutive loss in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
Abouo's overall stats this season are: 7.6ppg, 2.9rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 59.3%(51-86), 3FGP: 38.5% and FT: 90.6%(29-32).
He has a dual citizenship: Ivorian and American.
Abouo is in the roster of the Ivorian senior national team.
#3. The Ivorian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center
Seydou Aboubacar (207-94, currently plays in Spain). He managed to help Leche Rio Breogan in a 1-point victory against the sixth-ranked HLA Alicante (9-9)
88-87 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Wednesday night.
Aboubacar recorded 5 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 17 minutes.
Leche Rio Breogan (13-5) is placed second in Places 1-10 group.
This year Aboubacar's overall stats are: 5.0ppg, 2.7rpg, 2FGP: 54.8% and FT: 56.8% in 31 games.
He is another player who holds two passports: Ivorian and Nigerien.
Aboubacar is also a member of the Ivorian senior national team.
#4. An experienced center
Mohamed Kone (211-81, college:
Valpo, currently plays in France) was not able to help
JA Vichy (16-17) in their last game. Despite Kone's good performance JA Vichy lost
76-84 in Quimper to the much higher-ranked (#5) UJAP.
He scored 11 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 28 minutes.
Kone's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important.
It's Kone's fourth season with the team.
This year his total stats are: 8.0ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.5apg in 31 games.
Kone has both Ivorian and French nationalities.
He used to play for the Ivorian national team
back in 2019.
#5. Former international power forward
Cedric Bah (198-94, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for
ADA Blois (19-10) in their game against JA Vichy (16-17) in the French ProB (second division). Bah did not beat the league record on Tuesday evening.
He scored only 2 points.
ADA Blois was edged
88-85 in Vichy by the much lower-ranked JA Vichy (#12).
Bah's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is extremely important.
Bah has averaged so far 6.8ppg, 4.2rpg and 1.3apg.
He used to play for the Ivorian national team
four years ago.
#6. Point guard
Jean-Francois Kebe (185-94, currently plays in France) contributed to
Gries/Oberhoffen's victory against the closely-ranked Sluc Nancy (18-13)
100-95 in the French ProB (second division) in Tuesday night's game.
Kebe scored 7 points in 20 minutes.
Gries/Oberhoffen BC (17-14) is placed eighth in the ProB.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
They will play only one more game in the Regular Season.
It's Kebe's first season with the team.
He has averaged so far 6.5ppg, 1.7rpg and 3.0apg in 28 games.
Kebe is an international player who is currently on the senior Ivorian National Team roster.

HLA Alicante's victory against the second-ranked Leche Rio Breogan (13-5)
77-66 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) in Saturday night's game.
He scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
HLA Alicante (9-9) is placed sixth in Places 1-10 group.
It's Zohore's first season with the team.
Zohore's total stats this year are: 7.7ppg and 4.2rpg.
He has a dual citizenship: Danish and Ivorian.
