Mali overwhelmed Guinea 96-40 to keep ambitions high entering semis of the AfroBasket 2023. Mali remained undefeated and will face Senegal on their way to the Final. Mali opened the game with a 24-8 surge and never looked behind. They dominated every minute of the court and did not allow the opponents to keep the pace.
Maimouna Haidara (181-PF-2004) stepped up with 17 points and Fatoumata Sanou (160-PG-2004) had 14. Djeneba N'Diaye (175-PG-1997) added 13, whilst Alima Dembele brought 10. Masseny Kaba (191-F-1998, college: UCF) answered with 17 points in the losing effort.
