Ivory Coast overcame Guinea 81-55 at the Qualification Zone 3 First Leg of the AfroBasket 2023. Trailing 12-13 at the end of the first period, Ivory Coast needed a 24-14 run to take a 9-point halftime advantage. Moreover they limited the opponents to another 14 points in the third and the last stanzas to seal the win.
Amma Flora (184-F/C-1999) stepped up with 14 points and Solange Bognini (178-F-1997) netted 13. Masseny Kaba (191-F-1998, college: UCF) replied with 26 points in the losing effort.
