After three first losses Senegal added Guinea Bissau 74:35 for 4-0 record. The favorites started well and rightfully reached another victory. N'Diaye Malick and his teammates print their pace to the game. Early in the first quarter, the Lions led 13-1, and never looked behind after.
In Game 5 Mali edged Guinea Bissau 74:44 for 3-2 record. Mali started with 15-5 and never looked behind after. They enjoyed the lead in the court and dominated it from the beginning until the end. Amara Sy (202-F-81) stepped up with 20 points for the winners.
In the last game of the tournament Guinea Bissau lost to Cape Verde 74:106. The latter led 41:34 at the halftime and pushed the tempo in the second half.
Senegal won all the games to triumph at the Qualifiers zone II. In the last game Senegal outscored Mali 67:64 for the perfect record. Senegalese began the game very well, and with a good midrange address and their aggressiveness on both sides of the court, them led to the score almost during all the match. Mali played without their leader Amara Sy. Both Senegal and Mali will represent zone II in African games and Afrobasket.
