University of Ghana (UG) Men's Basketball Team has clinched a fourth straight Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship title after beating Takoradi Technical University (TTU) 37-32. The competition was held at UG's Central Court.

UG did the unthinkable by extending its advantage over closest rival Accra Technical University (ATU) as the most successful team in UPAC history. UG's remarkable run begun in 2016 and has continued despite player and coaching changes.

TTU playing in its first ever UPAC Final trailed 3-8 after the first quarter after getting on the scoreboard first thanks to a converted three point shot. The team improved offensively in the second quarter but still trailed UG 14-18.

Despite losing Captain and Shooting Guard Richard Donor to a head injury suffered after colliding with UG's Johnson Okoe, TTU took a 24-21 third quarter lead thanks to backup Guard Benjamin Sagoe's big shots.

However, UG got back on top after backcourt pair Emmanuel Wolff and Treasure Botchwey delivered momentum changing three point shots. Trailing 32-35 with 15 seconds remaining, a late three point attempt missed the rim and UG Guard Aminu Abibu gathered the rebound before getting fouled.

He sealed the win from the free throw line. In his final run, Wolff was named Most Valuable Player with Coach Dr. Baba Samori winning Coach of the Tournament. Wolff walks away from the UG program with four UPAC titles and his jersey has been retired. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) won bronze.
