2018 Sprite Ball Championship Male Division winners Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC-Osu) has been drawn in Group A of the 2019 edition of Ghana's biggest high school basketball tournament. The draw was completed earlier today live on the official Sprite Ball on Facebook.

Debutants Bishop Herman College and Sekondi College join PRESEC in Group A exactly a week before the start of this year's edition. Despite losing a chunk of its celebrated team that beat the odds to win last year's title, PRESEC is tipped to progress to the quarter finals.

In the Girls Division, defending champions Kumasi Girls Senior High School was seeded in Group A and had West Africa Senior High School (WASS), Mawuli Senior High School and Mfantseman Girls Senior High School rounding up the group.

Kumasi Girls have successfully defended the Ashanti Regional title en route to qualifying for next week's competition and per Coach Zibo Brown has already set its sights on becoming the first team in the division since 2015 to win back to back titles.

This year's competition runs from January 11-12 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra and is the 13 edition of the Rite Sports Limited organized program. 20 schools are set to play in the competition and 12 schools are in the Boys Division. Below is a full list of the Groups:
