Ghana Police Service and Adenta Leopards emerged as Female and Male Division respective winners of the CAP 7 Memorial Basketball Tournament that ended at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Both teams ended the campaign unbeaten as Police beat big rival Braves of Customs 39-27 to win the Female Division. Leopards beat Navy Warriors 40-35 to end the tournament with five wins in as many games.

Police Forward Georgina Twum was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament after her dominant rebound performance in the final game. Leopards Kwame Mawukor ended up as MVP in the Male Division despite playing group stage games off the bench.

Twum joined teammates Balksiu Saleem and Mavis Martey in the All Star Team alongside Braves duo Matilda Gordon and Gloria Gyampoh. Gordon, the 2016 Ghana Basketball Awards MVP, injured her knee early in the third quarter and exited the game.

Leopards flat out bossed the Men's Division All Star team with four players making the team including MVP Mawukor. Center Suleiman Abubakar, Point Guard Kontor Appiah and Muhaimin Guba were also named. Warriors Yannick Mbemba was the sole non Leopards player in the team.

The nine day competition was played in honour of former Accra Basketball League Chairman Benjamin Baafi.
