Adamu Saaka (ex Al Wakrah) signs at Chartres - Aug 10, 2018

ProB newcomer Chartres Basket Masculins landed 30-year old American (has also Ghanian passport) small forward Adamu Saaka (198-88, college: Furman). He played most recently at Al Wakrah in Qatari D1 league. In 19 games he was second best scorer with impressive 23.6ppg and recorded 6.1rpg and 3.6apg last season. Saaka helped them to make it to the final. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 1st Team and League Player of the Week (2 times).
The previous (16-17) season Saaka played at Al Arabi (also in D1) where in 18 games he averaged remarkable 21.5ppg, 7.7rpg and 4.6apg. He contributed to his team making it to the Qatari Emir Cup Semifinals. He can count that season as a very successful as was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar D1 2nd Team and League Player of the Week (2 times).
Saaka has played previously professionally in Holland (Zwolle) and France (Saint Quentin).
He attended Furman University until 2011 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
