Suncity Braves are winners of the 2017-2018 GSP Basketball League title after beating LIR Royals 41-39 on the final day of competition. The title is Braves second trophy in the league in three season further entrenching its dominance.

Braves won the fixture but only a University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) loss would give them the needed points to clinch the title. UENR lost 39-40 in overtime to Desert Rabbits in the final game of the season.

Suncity's win and arch rival UENR's loss meant Braves end the season with 26 points with 12 wins in 14 games. UENR came second with 25 points from 11 wins while Rabbits and
Royals rounded up the top four places in respective order.

Sunyani Technical University and Barracks Scorpions scored easy wins as opponents West Siders and Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints failed to show up for the fixtures with their fates already sealed as bottom dwellers.

Braves Center Isaac Amponsah emerged as Most Valuable Player and Ibrahim Khalid of Barracks Scorpions was named Young Player of the season in the regional hoops league. Amponsah beat off competition from winner Robert Brew of UENR and a trio of LIR players including Andrew Quansah. After Braves won the inaugural edition in 2016, UENR won the 2016-2017 campaign.
