Reggie Agbeko, Brimah feature in Denmark and Serbia playoff games - May 5, 2018

A couple of Ghanaian players were in action ahead of this weekend in European playoff games; Reggie Agbeko featured for Horsens IC in Denmark and Amida Brimah played for Partizan NIS in the Serbian playoffs.

6 foot 7 inch Forward Agbeko scored nine points and gathered six rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench in Horsens IC's 68-79 loss to Bakken in Game 3 of the Danish Basketball League's Finals Series.

Horsens trail 0-3 in the series and Agbeko recorded four points in Game One and four points in Game 2. Game 4 will be played on Monday May 7.

On the other hand, Center Amida Brimah enjoyed another winning ride with Partizan NIS in Serbia's playoffs as his side beat Vojvodina 88-62. The win is Partizan's sixth straight victory in Group B of the playoff.

Brimah poured in 11 points, four rebounds and an assist in 15 minutes as a substitute for the team leading Group B. Partizan plays FMP Beograd who are in second place with five wins and a loss in six games; the game takes place on Monday May 7.

Brimah won the NBA Gatorade League title before signing for Partizan and could a second league title in the space of three two months. This is Agbeko's maiden challenge for a league title since signing for Horsens IC after graduating from St. Louis University in 2017. Brimah graduated the same year from University of Connecticut.

Nungua Coldstore has won the Tema Community Basketball League for the second time after beating Tema Heat 53-49 in Game 3 of the 2018 Finals Series played on Sunday, December 9 at Tema's Community 4 Court. Coldstore's first trophy win was in 2016 when the side swept Ashaiman Lions in two straight games in the finals but had to work very hard to secure its latest trophy.
