Versatile Ghana Forward Ben Bentil leads all scorers at Champagne Chalons-Reims in the French Pro A Basketball League after ten games in the 2017-2018 season. The 6 foot 9 inch player who can play both Forward positions, has averaged 12. 4 points per game this season.

His mark is is almost matched by Icelandic Forward Martin Hermannsson who has averaged 12 points this season. Bentil holds averages of 4.9 and 1.4 in rebounds and assists heading to the 11th round of games.

While Bentil has been in good form for large parts of his debut season in France following his transfer from San Antonio Spurs NBA Summer League roster, his scoring has dipped in recent games and has failed to score double digits in losses to Nanterre and Le Portel.

Reims are on a four game losing streak and has seen them fall to 13th in the league with four wins in ten games after starting the season with four wins in six games. The team takes on Cholet on Saturday December 2 with Cholet in 14th place and having the same record as Reims.

Benril signed for Reims after a stint in the NBA with Dalls Mavericks following his drafted into the NBA with the 51st pick by Boston Celtics. He has featured in the NBA's Gatorade League for Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association.
