The race for Ghana's Ashanti Regional Crown in High School male basketball is still not decided between Opoku Ware School and Prempeh College following two failed attempts to find the winning team in the finals.

Reigning regional and national champions Opoku Ware and fierce rival Prempeh have booked their place at the next edition of the Sprite Ball Championship set to be held in Ghana's capital, Accra.

However, the winner in the region is still up in the air as two attempts to find the winner has proved inconclusive thus far. The first game took place at defending champion's court but with the game tied at 16 and set for overtime, the fixture was postponed to Monday November 6 at Toase Senior High School due to poor visibility.

Toase was chosen by officials as a neutral ground to prevent crowd troubles which characterized the first game and played a major part in dragging the game into the wee hours of the night.

Despite, the change in venue, scuffles broke out between players and a few supporters of either team at Toase in the aftermath of a heavy down pour which forced officials to call off the game with Opoku Ware leading 24-21.

A new date is yet to be set to decide which team represents the region as champions; T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School beat Kumasi Anglican Senior High School 25-9 to clinch bronze and secure a spot at the national games.

Kumasi Girls High School and T.I. Ahmadiyya will represent the region in the female division.
