Congo DR smashed Gabon 121-32 in Group A opener of the 2023 AfroBasket Qualifiers. Congo DR started the game with a 26-10 surge and dominated the whole game. The third quarter was a disaster for Gabon that could not score a single point as they got 0-31 loss.
Cecile Nyoka (177-F-1986) top-scored for the winners with 25 points and Deborah Mayimona scored 23. Bernice Angue and Jessica Abagha replied with 9 points each in a loss.
