Gabon qualify for 2015 AfroBasket

Gabon have qualified for the 2015 AfroBasket. They earned the top position in the Zone IV qualifying group. Gabon finished on top ahead of Cameroon and DR Congo. Geraldine Robert (183-F-80, agency: Comsport) proved pivotal role for the winners. She averaged 22.7 points and 13.5 rebounds per game in four games for Gabon in Libreville. Gabon sealed their top position with a 63:51 win over DR Congo in the final round of the event. 2015 AfroBasket will take place from 24th September through 3rd October in Cameroon. Nine teams have already qualified for the event. These are Cameroon, Angola, Gabon, Mozambique, Senegal, Mali, Algeria, Uganda and South Africa.
