Robert is back at Villeneuve

Villeneuve D'Ascq ESB Lille Metropole (LFB) agreed terms with 34-year old French ex-international forward Geraldine Robert (183-80). It is actually her comeback to Villeneuve D'Ascq as she played here before. Robert is a dual citizen owning also Gabonese passport. She was about to sign at Union Lyon Basket Feminin (LFB). The last season Robert played at Lattes Montpellier. In 28 games she had 13.3ppg, 7.6rpg, 2.5apg and 2.1spg. Quite impressive season as she was selected Eurobasket.com All-French LFB Domestic Player of the Year, Eurobasket.com All-French LFB Player of the Year and Forward of the Year. She also played 12 games in Euroleague where she recorded 14.1ppg, 6.6rpg (#5 in the league), 1.1apg and 2.3spg (in top 4). It was another spectacular season as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Euroleague Honorable Mention.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Robert's team won French Cup in 2013. She was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Polish PLKK Player of the Year in 2012. Robert was a member of French Senior National Team between 2006 and 2007.
She is quite experienced player. Robert has played also professionally in Italy (CA Romagna and Umbertide), Poland (Riviera Gdynia) and United Kingdom (Crusaders).
