The Cup of the Gabon 2007 is the first yearly competition of the GABONESE FEDERATION OF BASKET BALL (FEGABAB) took place of the 22 at 27 to MOANDA, to 15 minutes of Franceville in the SOUTH of Gabon.
Cups of Gabon concern two categories: the masculine category named “DAVID NZOUBOU "; the feminine category named " ALBERTINE OWONE ", these trophies have been instituted to deceased to honor their memoirs for services given back to basketball Gabonese. Preliminaries were played in the six leagues affiliated members at the FEGABAB; the city of Moanda has been chosen to shelter the final phases.
The feminine competition regrouped 5 teams: NEW G (retiring Champion) and SOMO B of Libreville, ASOM and CAS 1987 of Port Gentil, MANGA BASKET of Moanda.
The pull to the fate mediatized of May 17 retorted these teams in two hens, teams met and the two first of each hens played the final, taken back by SOMO B, all meetings took place to the new tray of basket of the COMILOG sponsor of the competition and the team of MANGA BASKET. The final was played in presence of the minister of youth and Sports, Mr. Egide BOUDONO SIMANGOYE, the representative of the Committee Olympic Gabonese at MOANDA, of the Chief of Staff of the sport ministry and a lot of other guests of mark.
