Besides talented 6-8 forward Herman Tesfaghebriel ,who is now off to play for Bishop’s and 5-8 PG Aymen Nurhusien, who joined Kwantlen (both are university teams in Canada) , Eritrea can provide with two more players in Germany. Johannes Tesfaldet (188-G-80, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) has also an Eritrean backround and plays in the 2.Bundesliga North for Hertener Loewen, while young Dahlak Tesfahiwet, a very streaky point guard ,who reminds me of Allen Iverson, is playing for ACT Kassel in the 4th Division (Oberliga Hessen) and recently scored 14 points in a 87-80 win over EOSC Offenbach. If Eritrean officials would put all those players together, they could have a chance to compete in future qualifiers, especially after the FIBA extended the participating countries for the next African Championships from 12 to 16.
