Thomas Kelati (195-G/F-82, college: Washington St.) demonstrated wonderful performance in the first 3 rounds of Spanish ACB league. Since he joined Unicaja Malaga from Polish Turow this summer, Kelatti became one of the team's leaders.
In the opening round of ACB Unicaja Malaga was better Real Madrid at home with huge 82-65. Thomas Kelati spent 22 minutes on the court scoring 8 points. However, in the next game Unicaja played on the road vs dangerous Cajasol Sevilla. The team from Malaga grabbed big 31-point win while Kelatti helped it draining 17 points. He had 3/3 for FG2, 3/7 for 3-pts and 2/3 from the free throw line. He got 26 minutes in this game by the well respected coach Aito Garcia. The last game, which was played this week-end, Unicaja Malaga faced with last season's Euroleague semifinalists Tau Ceramica. The team of Dusko Ivanovic is in a great shape at the beginning of ACB. Serbian star Igor Rakocevic led Tau from the first round and nothing has changed against Unicaja 69-75. However, one of the players who was capable to compete against powerful Tau was Eritrean Thomas Kellati. He played 24 minutes in this game scoring 8 points. At the same time he had 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. In the next round Unicaja will meet Bilbao.
