Kelati celebrates silver with Turow- June 6, 2008Thomas Kelati (195-G/F-82, college: Washington St.) and his PGE Turow Zgorzelec finished second in Poland after an outstanding, however pity loss in the best-of-seven Final series over Prokom Trefl Sopot. In Game 5 Prokom won the third game in a row in the Final series over Turow. Trailing 0-2 after the first two games away from home Prokom is now 3-2 after 59:66. An outstanding last period lifted them closer to the trophy as they host Game 6. Filip Dylewicz top-scored for the winners with 26 points. Krzysztof Roszyk nailed 15, while Mustafa Shakur scored 8. David Logan poured in 15 points in defeat, Dragisa Drobnjak had 14 and Robert Witka posted 13. Thomas Kelati ended up with 7 points in defeat. Turow looked really well at home and another proof for it was the first three quarters. Prokom could not stay tough in the start of the game playing without Gurovic that was suspended for one game after fighting in Game 4. PGE Turow Zgorzelec opened the game with 17:16 and increased the lead to 3 points at the half. After halftime Dragisa Drobnjak hit 2 triples in the third period as Turow went ahead by 10. After 17:12 in the third period Turow remained in front of the game dominating the court. Prokom Trefl Sopot woke up in the last period as they limited Turow to just 5 points in the period. Filip Dylewicz and Krzysztof Roszyk made three-point plays to seal the victory. |
