Thomas Kelati (195-G/F-82, college: Washington St.) and PGE Turow Zgorzelec becomes closer to win the Polish Finals after the second home win. David Logan nailed 18, whilst Robert Witka posted 12. Mustafa Shakur ended up with 17 points in the losing effort.
In comparison with Game 1 Turow dominated Game 2 from the early beginning. In the second quarter, following a Thomas Kelati triple, Turow escaped for a double-digit lead and never looked back. The hosts won the opening quarter 23:16 and increased the margin later in the second. Both teams left the court for the break when the board showed 41:28. The home side continued to push the tempo, but the third quarter was the one when the guests could struggle in the game. Prokom Trefl Sopot tied the quarter at 22:22 and as a result the margin remained at 13 points for the hosts. Turow held the score for good and made a huge step toward the Triumph in Poland.
In Game 1 Turow, having a home-court advantage used the first game as a must for 82:79 win. Trailing 11 points at the half time the home side benefit from the game. David Logan paced all the winners with 26 points, Robert Witka and Thomas Kelati followed him with 12 points each. Donatas Slanina finished the night with 17 points in defeat, while Jovo Stanojevic scored 13.
Prokom Trefl did not feel discomfort playing away from home and grabbed the lead from the very beginning. The visitors ended up the opening quarter with 17:14 and started the second better as well. Prokom used a 25:17 in the period and took 11-point lead after the first half.
PGE Turow Zgorzelec had more power left after the semifinal series and that was probably the best time to come back into the game. A 21;16 in the third quarter closed the gap to 6 points for the guests. In the last period Turow played a very balanced offensive game and reached an important first win. David Logan made it 80:79 in the end of the game and Andres Rodriguez posted two free throws in a 82:79 win.
