Alicante inks Walter Cabral

HLA Alicante (LEB Gold) signed 25-year old Equatorial Guinean-Spanish international forward Walter Cabral (200cm) for upcoming 2021-22 season. Cabral played last season at Estela in the LEB Silver. In 30 games he had 12.1ppg, 8.7rpg (#3 in the league) and 1.2apg. He helped them to make it to the Spanish LEB Silver Play-Off final after they ended regular season as second best team. 2020-21 was a great year as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Silver 1st Team, All-Domestic Players Team and League Player of the Week (2 times).
The previous (19-20) season he played at Zamorano (also in LEB Silver) where in 23 games he recorded 11.1ppg and 7.5rpg. He has been regularly called to Equatorial Guinean Senior National Team since 2020.
Cabral has played previously for three other teams: Casvi, Real Canoe and Viten Getafe Fuenlabrada Madrid.
His team won Spanish LEB Silver Regular Season in 2014.
