Bellarmine University re-signed 19-year old Egyptian 6-2 center Haya Abdelaal for the new season. She joins another Egyptian player Hana Aal who is already on the roster. Abdelaal moved to Bellarmine University from another school, where she played for only one year. In 23 games, she averaged 4.9ppg and 4.3rpg.

She played at Alexandria Sporting Club between 2021-25. She helped her team make it to the Egyptian League Finals and Egyptian Cup Finals in 2025. Her team played in the Egyptian League Finals in 2024. Her team played in the Egyptian Cup Semifinals and Egyptian League Semifinals in 2023. Her team ended the regular season as the second-best place in the Egyptian League in two consecutive years: 2023 and 2024. Her team won the Egyptian League Regular Season Championship, Egyptian League Championship, and FIBA African Champions Cup in 2022.


Abdelaal represented Egypt at the FIBA World Cup U19 for Women in Spain three years ago. Abdelaal's team won Silver and she averaged over 10 points per game. Her team also won the Egyptian Supercup and she was named to the Afrobasket.com All-African Championship U16 First Team in 2021.
