The opening games of the 2025–2026 Egypt Women’s Basketball Super League semi-finals concluded earlier today, featuring Al Ahly, Sporting, Heliopolis, and Al Gezira.

Sporting delivered a convincing performance, defeating Heliopolis 75–51 at the Olympic Club Hall, while Al Ahly secured a dominant 87–61 victory over Al Gezira at the Youth and Sports Hall.

MVP of the day was Raneem Elgedawy of Al Ahly with efficiency of 34

The second round of matches is scheduled for Tuesday, with a decisive third game, if needed, set for Friday.

The semi-finals are played in a best-of-three format, with the first team to secure two wins advancing to the final.

Both Al Ahly and Sporting made strong statements in Game 1 as they look to book their places in the championship series.
