Al Ittihad Alexandria (Superleague) hired coach Ashraf Tawfek , who had previously been coaching at Smouha Sporting Club during the season.

He has coached previously in Libya, between Al Ahly Tripoli and Ahly Benghazi, and during his time in Libya.
In 2024, his team reached the Semifinals of the Arab Club Championship.
