Al Ahly dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to NBEC's 28. Al Ahly forced 23 NBEC turnovers and outrebounded them 51-27 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Al Ahly looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Raneem Elgedawy (193-1997, college: WKU) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals. The former international guard Nadine Soliman (178-1998, college: UNCG) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Al Ahly's coach Tarek Abouzeid used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. point guard Farida Youssef (166-2003) produced 24 points and 9 assists and forward Huda Alaa (180) added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Four NBEC players scored in double figures.

The former international Shaza Abdelhakam (-1992) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Nada Moneer (-2002) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Heliopolis held Shooting to an opponent 24.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Heliopolis forced 36 Shooting turnovers. Farida Mossad (177-2003) notched 19 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international point guard Malak Gamaleldin (169-2002) supported her with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Even 6 points and 6 rebounds by point guard Hana Elgoly (167-2007) did not help to save the game for Shooting. Reham Elzomor added 3 points and 10 rebounds for the guests.
