Al Ahly made 29-of-37 free shots (78.4 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by WE Sporting helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international guard Ehab Amin (193-1995, college: Oregon) who led his team to a victory with 9 points and 13 rebounds. International guard Ibrahim Zahran (196-2004, college: Miami Dade CC) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. The former international center Hamad Fathy (225) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Omar Attia (189-1997) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for WE Sporting. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Zamalek - Al Ittihad Al. 103-108

Al Ittihad Al. shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Zamalek was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international guard Mohamed Abdelrahman (184-1996) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international center Anas Mahmoud (214-1995, college: Louisville) helped adding 28 points and 6 rebounds. Al Ittihad Al.'s coach Oscar Quintana allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American guard AJ English (192-1992, college: Iona) with 38 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists and international Khaled Abdelgawad (204-1999) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Al Ittihad Al. and four Zamalek players scored in double figures.
