Megahed's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Fatma Megahed had a very impressive game in the last round for Olympic Sporting Club Alexandria and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
She had a double-double of 20 points and 20 rebounds, while her team beat Aviation (#15, 1-12) 76-63. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Olympic maintains the 13th position in Egyptian Superleague. Olympic is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-8 record. In the team's last game Megahed had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. She turned to be Olympic's top player in her first season with the team. Megahed has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 10.9rpg) and averages solid 52.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jana Sayed of Heliopolis Cairo. She is a in her first season at Heliopolis. In the last game Sayed recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Heliopolis lost that game 56-63 to the lower-ranked Misr Insurance (#12, 5-10). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Heliopolis keeps 9th position. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Sayed is a newcomer at Heliopolis and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Nadine Soliman (178-G-1998) of Al Ahly Cairo (#3). Soliman scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Soliman's great performance the Al Ahly lost 81-84 to #2 ranked Alexandria. But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. That was shocking loss for Al Ahly and their fans. Hopefully so far almost perfect season will not turn around. They still have impressive 12-1 record in the league. Soliman plays for a very strong team and Al Ahly has many quality players. So achieving that high stats is even more impressive. Soliman has a great season in Egypt. After only 9 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.2ppg (5th best), rebounds with 9.4rpg (6th best) and assists with 4.0apg (7th best). She also has 2.3spg and a FGP of 59.7%.
