Egyptian Superleague round 13 best performance: Nadine Salawi (by Hoops Agents)

Nadine Salawi put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Al Ahly Cairo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The player got a double-double of 20 points and 10 assists, while her team crushed Al Gezira (#7, 5-6) with 18-point margin 93-75. It allowed Al Ahly to consolidate first place in the Egyptian Superleague. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Al Ahly keeps a perfect 11-0 record. Salawi turned to be Al Ahly's top player in her first season with the team. Nadine Salawi has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (7th best: 15.3ppg), rebounds (8th best: 8.4rpg), assists (5th best: 4.6apg) and averages impressive 2.9spg and 62.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Al Ahly's star - young international power forward Raneem Elgedawy (193-F/C-1997). Elgedawy had a very good evening with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course together with Salawi she helped Al Ahly Cairo with another comfortable win 93-75 over the lower-ranked Al Gezira (#7, 5-6) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Al Ahly still keep the league's top spot. She plays for the best team in the league and Al Ahly managed to win all 11 games keeping a perfect record. Elgedawy is a newcomer at Al Ahly, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.3ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 11.0rpg and 4.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Hagar Amer (184-F-1993) of Alexandria Sporting Club (#3). Amer scored 14 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Alexandria, leading her team to a 84-40 easy win against the lower-ranked Misr Insurance (#12, 4-8). Many experts and fans count Alexandria as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 11 victories and only one lost game. Amer has a great season in Egypt. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 12.0rpg (2nd best).
