Fousseyni Drame joins Al Ahly Cairo

Fousseyni Drame

Defending champion Al Ahly Cairo (Superleague) agreed terms with 25-year old Mali international forward Fousseyni Drame (201cm-91kg-2000, college: Duquesne). He is the second foreign player in the roster as USA Jordan Theodore signed here earlier. He started the season at Westchester Knicks (NBA G League) in the U.S. In only one game he recorded just 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Last season summer he played at Rebels in U.S. semi-pro league TBL.
Last year, a year after his graduation, he was drafted by the Westchester Knicks (G-League) in the second round (61st overall).
He graduated from the University of Duquesne in 2024 and is currently in his second season in professional basketball.
He has also been a member of the Mali international program for some years. Drame has regularly played for the Mali senior team since 2023 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2018. He played for other colleges like La Salle University and Saint Peter's University.
