Alaa's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

Huda Alaa

Forward Huda Alaa (180-F) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked National Bank of Egypt Club and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
She had a double-double of 23 points and 18 rebounds, while her team crushed Al Shams (#5, 6-3) with 16-point margin 65-49. NBEC maintains the 2nd position in Egyptian Superleague. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and NBEC keeps a perfect 10-0 record. Alaa turned to be NBEC's top player in her first season with the team. Alaa has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (7th best: 14.6ppg) and averages solid 55.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Hagar Amer (184-F-1993) of Alexandria Sporting Club. She is international forward in her first season at Alexandria. In the last game Amer recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds. Of course she led Alexandria to another comfortable win outscoring New Giza (#15, 0-9) 84-64. Alexandria's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 10-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Amer is a newcomer at Alexandria and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.7ppg (#3). She also registered 11.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Mariam Morad of Al Zohour SC (#4). Morad showcased her all-around game by recording 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Al Zohour, leading her team to a 76-33 easy win against Aviation (#16, 0-10). Al Zohour is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... Morad has a great season in Egypt. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.7ppg (5th best).
