Egyptian Superleague round 10 best performance: Rose Macuei (by Hoops Agents)

American-South Sudanese Forward Rose Macuei (187-F-2000) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Al Ahly Cairo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Misr Insurance (#6, 5-6) 80-70. It allowed Al Ahly to consolidate first place in the Egyptian Superleague. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Al Ahly keeps a perfect 9-0 record. In the team's last game Macuei had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be Al Ahly's top player in her first season with the team. Rose Macuei averages this season 12.8ppg and 7.4rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Al Ahly's star - Nadine Salawi. Salawi had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 17 rebounds. Of course Al Ahly Cairo cruised to a 80-70 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Misr Insurance (#6, 5-6). Of course Al Ahly still keep the league's top spot. She plays for the best team in the league and Al Ahly managed to win all 9 games keeping a perfect record. Salawi is a newcomer at Al Ahly, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was forward Sandy Abdellatif (180-PF-2002) of Al Gezira Cairo (#8). Abdellatif scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She was a key player of Al Gezira, leading her team to a 88-54 easy win against New Giza (#16, 0-8). The chances of Al Gezira ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 5 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Abdellatif could help Al Gezira to bring them higher in the standings. Abdellatif has a very solid season. In 7 games in Egypt she scored 10.0ppg.
