Egyptian Superleague round 7 best performance: Nadine Salawi (by Hoops Agents)

Nadine Salawi put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Al Ahly Cairo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The player had a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat Alexandria (#3, 6-1) 75-61. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Al Ahly to consolidate first place in the Egyptian Superleague. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Al Ahly keeps a perfect 7-0 record. In the team's last game Salawi had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. She turned to be Al Ahly's top player in her first season with the team. Nadine Salawi has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (7th best: 15.0ppg) and averages impressive 52.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Hagar Amer (184-F-1993) of Alexandria Sporting Club. Amer had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Alexandria lost that game 61-75 to league's leader Al Ahly (#1, 7-0). Third on the list of top players last round was another Al Ahly's star - international forward Raneem Elgedawy (193-F/C-1997). Elgedawy showcased her all-around game by recording 21 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Al Ahly Cairo, helping her team with a 75-61 easy win against #3 ranked Alexandria. Al Ahly have amazing season winning all 7 games without a single defeat. Elgedawy turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Elgedawy has a great season in Egypt. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.7ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 12.3rpg (2nd best) and assists with 5.0apg (6th best).
